Dr. David Deaton joined Cardiac Surgical Associates of Western Mass. in 1990 after completing his cardiothoracic training in Chicago. A native of North Carolina, Dr. Deaton completed his medical school training at Duke University. Dr. Deaton is a diplomate of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgery, Massachusetts Medical Society and Hampden District Medical Society. He is the chairman of the Vascular Peer Review Committee at Baystate Medical Center. He has an avid interest in photography.
